About me

My name is Matteo Gazzarata. I was born in Asti, home to the world's oldest Palio horse race, but I've lived in Turin since university. I graduated in Political Science because I wanted to be a diplomat, but after graduation I chose to combine my studies with my passion for travel, pursuing a different diplomatic career. I began by managing excursion offices at holiday facilities in Turkey, Mauritius, and the Maldives, before moving on to directing group tours and then Local Guiding. My customers are predominantly foreign, English or Spanish-speaking, for whom I provide guided tours in Torino (Turin) and Piemonte (Piedmont) and, as a Tour Leader, in Italy, Europe, and the rest of the world. Over the years, I've chosen to specialize in food and wine, which has allowed me to update my guiding services by combining traditional features of my profession, such as art and history, with knowledge and expertise in the culinary and winemaking traditions of my homeland. I've traveled extensively for both work and pleasure, and my favorite destination is Sub-Saharan Africa, where nature is still powerful, the people are sincere, and the animals are the true masters of the land. However, after each trip, I always return to Turin, which is not only my home, but also the most surprising and elegant city in Italy.

I look forward to seeing you in Turin and Piedmont.
